Zip-Ah-Dee-Doo-Dah

Q1: Will there be constraints on the amount of tape provided to students to create their biplane (i.e. a certain amount of tape) ?
A1: The students will have as much tape as they need to create their cable car.

Q2: The description of the event reads, “The sample data will be in SI units, and the final answer should be provided in SI units as well.” Is this anything more technical than meters per sec?
A2: Distance should be expressed in meters, time in seconds, and speed in meters per second.

Q3: Our team has a question. Are there rules for how the zip-line harness is attached to the cable car?  Can they use any of their materials including the tape?
A3: There are no rules for how the zip-line harness is attached to the cable car. However, the students may need to attach and reattach the harness to the cable car quickly. The students can use any of their materials to attach the harness, including the tape.

Q4: Do they attach the harness right when they get ready for their run or in the build time? The description says they need to attach it in 30 seconds  – it also says they have 30 seconds to place their ping pong ball in the cable car.  Is this the same 30 seconds? Or is there 1 minute total to prepare?
Q4: The students will need to prepare their cable car for launch in approximately 30 seconds. This time includes attaching the cable car to the harness, placing the ping pong ball in the cable car, and attaching the harness to the zip-line.
