Olympians’ Nametags

Are there specific requirements for student participant name tags for the May 11 event?

Head Coaches,

There are new HC’s asking about the nametag format. In the past there were these requirements:
* only first names of Olympians
* grade level clearly marked
* name of Event(in order of time) with Time Slot also visible
* repeat above with 2nd or 3rd Event, as needed
* a red dot on upper right corner if the child is NOT to appear in photos
* if there is a fast turnover, note that
I have found an old template that was used in the past for xls documents to print on Avery nametags or your choice of paper.
The spread sheet that you merge into it should have these fields-
First (first name)
Grade(2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th)
if needed

Rescheduled Event Coach/Supervisor Workshops: February 7

The rescheduled date for the event coach/supervisor informational sessions is February 7, 2019 at Pioneer High School.

Event coaches will have the opportunity to meet event supervisors and learn more about their events.
There are two sessions that will present the same material: 7:00 – 7:45 pm, and 8:00 – 8:45 pm.

Please leave time for parking and finding the correct room so that we can begin on time.

Head Coaches whose schools have completed registration may pick up event practice materials.

Check the blog for more information leading up to this date.

January 30 Coach workshops canceled

The event coach workshops scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, have been canceled due to the inclement weather and school closures. WESO does not have access to the school building and cannot hold the workshops.

We will work on finding a make-up date, and expect that we will not be able to arrange a make-up until schools are opened again and staff is back at work.

Event materials will be distributed on the make-up date and also on February 12.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get them.

All Event Descriptions Now Available

Detailed event descriptions are now available for all events. Please visit the Events page to see an index to the pages. Some events have study guides or other supplemental materials – check each event’s page for those materials.

Four events also have links to videos on YouTube that provide further instruction or guidance for coaches and teams: GENE-ius, Map Reading, Photon Phun, and Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.

Available Event Descriptions

Detailed event descriptions are now available for all but five events: Hang Time, In Bloom, On Target, Photon Phun, and Potions.

The rest can be found by going to the individual event pages on the WESO website, listed here. Some events also have supplemental materials such as study guides.

We will post the remaining descriptions as soon as they are available.
